Program Information

Freeman Community Transit operates under the management of Brookings Area Transit Authority (BATA) in Brookings, South Dakota. Offers transportation services to anyone within Hutchinson County. Passengers can schedule rides to work, school, medical appointments, shopping trips, and more. Passengers must schedule rides at least one day before transportation is needed. Offers door-to-door service.

Freeman Community Transit is a Medicaid provider, and medical transportation may be covered by eligible Medicaid recipients.

Freeman Community Transit fleet includes 5 accessible vehicles with staff extensively trained to assist with physical and other mobility challenges. The lift is available and encouraged for any passenger.
