Program Information
Founded in 1860, Augustana is a selective, comprehensive university affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Augustana serves more than 1,900 students from 41 states and 24 countries. Most are part of the residential community and call the 100-acre campus home. The graduate and continuing education programs serve students online and during times that are convenient for adult learners. Central to Augustana's mission are five core values-Christian, Liberal Arts, Excellence, Community, and Service-that serve as the foundation for the University's academic and student life programs.
