Program Information

A non-profit organization that serves people by arranging charitable flights for access to health care or other humanitarian purposes utilizing qualified volunteer pilots.

Eligibility

Must meet the following criteria: -Have financial need for assistance -Be able to fly in a non-pressurized small aircraft. -Be ambulatory -Be responsible for their own medications -Not have a communicable disease -Provide Department of Transportation (DOT) approved supplemental oxygen and medical assistance (if required) -Provide and/or your own transportation to and from airport and treatment facility. -Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian -Allow up to 7-10 working days for AFC to coordinate all aspects of the flight -Luggage is limited to a total of 50 pounds

Disabilities access

The majority of the flights take place in small, single-engine aircraft, it is required that all passengers be physically capable of climbing in and out of the aircraft, as well as sitting upright throughout the duration of the flight(s).

Required Documents

Angel Flight Central will verify that it is safe for you to fly in a small, non-pressurized plane by contacting your treating/referring physician for approval. A photo id will be required by most volunteer pilots.
