SD511 provides information about road and weather conditions, work zones, incidents, emergencies, traffic speed, traffic restrictions, and other conditions for any route on the South Dakota state highway system (not county, tribal, or city roads).

Services include toll-free phone numbers for audible information inside South Dakota (5-1-1) and outside South Dakota (866) 697-3511. App for iPhone or iPad available on iTunes. App for Android available on Google Play. MYSD-511, providing travel advisories sent directly to an email or phone number.

The website and mobile apps provide roadway images, showing road conditions, from more than 100 locations across the states.
