Program Information

Public transportation for residents living in Yankton and Vermillion and surrounding areas.

Transportation is available for medical appointments, shopping, employment, youth transportation, daycare, senior meals, and summer recreation activities.

Buy bus tickets from a Jefferson Lines Ticket Agent at both Vermillion and Yankton offices. Walk-in or call to purchase bus tickets.

Support for out-of-town rides is based on the availability of a driver and vehicle.

Is a Medicaid provider.

Disabilities access

Half of the buses are equipped with a lift for those who utilize a wheelchair or unable to walk up the bus stairs. Please advise dispatchers if a lift is required when scheduling for a ride.

Application Process

Call to schedule a ride to and from your destination. Yankton area: Rides need to be scheduled at least 1 business day before needing the ride (preferably by 5:00pm the day before your ride). Vermillion area: Schedule your rides at least 1 day in advance. Same day rides may be scheduled, but are dependent upon availability and will have a higher fare.
