Drew Robinson in Sioux Falls
Wednesday, October 23, 2024
Join us in Sioux Falls at one of two events to hear former Major League Baseball player and mental health advocate Drew Robinson share his inspiring story.
“I’m honored to be invited to speak on the important topic of suicide prevention in hopes to help others find the strength to ask for help," said Robinson. "My intention is to ‘heal loudly to prevent others from dying silently’ by empowering people to find the courage to seek support, and combat the outdated stigma surrounding mental health.”
Robinson, currently a mental health advocate for the San Francisco Giants, found his purpose working to end the stigma around mental health after surviving a suicide attempt in April 2020.
Robinson, who played professional baseball for parts of twelve seasons, is committed to using his platform to advocate for mental health care and encouraging others to seek support to prevent suicide. His tagline, Strength Isn’t Always Physical, promotes vulnerability as the path to improving our mental health rather than bottling it up or “playing through it,” in baseball terms.
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of our friends at The 437 Project, Drew will be speaking at two events. Click here to learn more about his story and why he's spreading the message.
