Accepts donations of goods and services throughout the year to help meet organizational needs and improve programming and services for youth. Donated items must be in gently used, clean and safe working condition.
Accepts office supplies, school supplies, books, board games, art supplies, headphones, batteries, gaming equipment, first aid equipment, sports and recreation equipment, toys for young children, kitchen supplies, etc.

Accepts the following donations (may be able to arrange for pick up of donations): Office Supplies (pens, pencils, white/colored photo copy paper, tape, stamps, scratch pads, staples, and markers), paper/cleaning products (paper towels, napkins, plastic trash bags, bleach, laundry soap, and dish soap), pet health/care items (dog food (prefer Hills Science Diet), cat food (prefer Hills Science Diet), cat treats, instant rice, all sizes of collars and leashes, toys, kitty litter, litter boxes and scoops, pet carriers in good condition, portable metal kennels, food and water bowls, and pet food (bird, rabbit, etc.)), miscellaneous (aluminum cans and Friskee Food Cans (aluminum only)), bedding/linen supplies (towels, blankets), and medical supplies (contact the shelter for details). Does not accept shredded paper.

ReStore Donations at Sioux Falls Site
Accepts donations from individual homeowners, contractors, large organizations, and businesses. The items are sold at a fraction of retail cost. The funds help build more homes in the Sioux Falls area, Please call before bringing items to the ReStore. A receipt for tax purposes will be available when items are donated.
Donations can be picked up
Accepted items:
- Appliances: must be clean and in 100% working order. Must have all knobs, trays, burners, shelves, etc. Generally, must be 10 years old or newer. Please include owners manuals if you have them, as they add value to your donation.
- Cabinets: for kitchens and bathrooms. They can be the whole set or individual cabinets. We also accept medicine cabinets and countertops.
- Ceiling Fans: if they are complete and in working condition.
- Doors: in good condition, they must not have holes, cracks, rot, etc. It is best to have the door knobs removed and bagged to sell separately.
- Electrical: electrical parts, wire, plugs, plates, and the hardware associated with electrical wiring.
- Flooring: non shag carpeting if it does not have stains or worn areas. Also accepts vinyl, tile, hardwood, and laminate flooring.
- Furniture: In excellent condition, from non-pet and non-smoking homes only, No beds or bed frames
- Blinds: if they are complete and in working condition.
- Hardware: for doors, cabinets, etc. Almost all types, if it's not rusty.
- Lighting: most light fixtures in working condition. No fluorescent bulbs or fixtures.
- Lumber . Plywood . Sheetrock . Trim: full and half sheets of plywood and sheetrock. Full lengths of lumber. Trim in smaller pieces, but not less than 4 feet long. No rot or nails sticking out of lumber.
- Mirrors: are accepted, if certain conditions apply, please call prior to donating these items.
- Pipe . PVC . Metal . Copper: 4 feet and over of any type of pipe, and all supplies and fittings.
- Plumbing Fixtures . Tubs . Sinks . Showers . Toilets: tubs, sinks and showers if they are in good condition and clean. No cast iron. Toilets only if they are in working condition and are the low flush (1.6 gallon) type, must be very clean.
- Roofing Material . Shingles . Gutters: most roofing material donations on a case by case basis. Shingles must be bundled in complete packages. Metal roofing, guttering, soffit, etc. should be in full lengths if possible. Not able to accept rusty, bent, or damaged pieces.
- Tools . Lawn and Garden Equipment: All lawn and garden equipment, as well as hand and power tools, must be in 100% working condition and include all parts or pieces.
- Windows . Screens: double pane windows of all types if the glass is intact. Most windows will show use, even if they are newer. If they are casement type, please include the hardware and cranks. No sashes please!
Items not accepted: Beds, bed frames, curtains, window coverings, clothing, shoes, fluorescent lights & fixtures, lead-based materials, paint, scraps of lumber, small electronics, toxic materials, toys, and water softeners. May be unable to receive overstocked items, due to limited storage capacity. If unable to accept donation, Restore can provide a list of other donation and disposal centers that may be able to assist. When in doubt, call.
