Mental Health Services Program at Northeastern Mental Health Center

Northeastern SD community mental health agency. Offers the following:
- Counseling services including:
- individual, couple, family and group therapy
- staff members work with families/individuals/couples to provide services in the home, community, or office (at the discretion of the client)
- Substance use disorder evaluation and treatment
- Walk-in Assessments for Substance Use available during regular business hours.
- Outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment services (day or evening hours available).

Male Residential Group Care Program at McCrossan Boys Ranch

During residency, the boy is provided with educational services (accredited on-campus school capable of issuing high school diplomas) as well as programming designed to assist him in developing positive self esteem, life skills, a positive work ethic, and self-sufficiency.
The major goal is to re-establish him into successful living patterns that will enable him to be a positive contributing member of his community.

Basic Needs Assistance Program at Love Inc of Greater Canton
Canton Site
Clearinghouse for local food pantry, gas vouchers, utility (including water, electric, and gas bills with a disconnection notice), and rent help. Love Inc is not income based, rather they are need based. If Love, Inc is unable to help, clients will be referred to the appropriate agency.
Programs include: Friday Backpack Program (healthy snacks for weekends), Adopt-A-Student Backpack Program (supplies and backpack for the school year), personal care pantry, winter coat drive, Helping Hands Baby Ministry, Love Inc's Clothing Closet (a thrift store for the Canton community), and budgeting classes.
Axis180 Program at Volunteers of America, Dakotas
Sioux Falls - S. Theodore Avenue
Provides shelter, case management, life skills, and education services to young people ages 16 to 21, who are preparing for independent living. The program provides young people with a safe, supportive environment while they learn the skills necessary to succeed on their own. The VOA Axis180 offers safe, affordable shelter, life skills education and training, interpersonal skill building, education completion, job preparation skills, mental and physical health care, and case management. 2-bedroom units available for youth who are parenting. The goal of the VOA Axis180 is to assist homeless young people in making a successful transition to self sufficiency, prevent long-term dependency on the social services system, and provide an option for older youth who need assistance in transitioning into adulthood.
