The Job Service Office is ready to help job seekers identify opportunities and prepare for productive employment through the following services:
Employment Services - Staff can help identify career interests, write a resume, prepare for a job interview and access appropriate training. Job listings are posted from local employers, state-wide employers, and federal and state government agencies. Job search assistance classes are available in addition to computers to conduct a job search or apply on-line. All individuals seeking employment or information about the local labor market receive assistance at no charge.
Veterans Employment Representatives - Job search information, help with resume writing and cover letters, and preparations for interviews. Eligibility determinations for special programs and services that employ and train veterans. Information on how to apply for federal, state, county and city employment. Employment information for newly separated or transitioning service members. Assistance with cross-matching military skills to civilian employment. Direct referrals to job openings. Intensive services and employment assistance for disabled veterans;those with a military disability, may also qualify for vocational rehabilitation services.
Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act - An employment and training program designed to provide services increasing skills for adults and youth that will result in employment and an increase in earnings. Individualized program to overcome employment barriers including: Work readiness skills;Interview tips;Resume Writing;Employment Counseling and GED or High School Diploma completion.

Northeastern SD community mental health agency. Offers the following:
- Counseling services including:
- individual, couple, family and group therapy
- staff members work with families/individuals/couples to provide services in the home, community, or office (at the discretion of the client)
- Substance use disorder evaluation and treatment
- Walk-in Assessments for Substance Use available during regular business hours.
- Outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment services (day or evening hours available).

This includes:
Community Education and Support: Provides a variety of direct service programming to deaf and hard of hearing consumers and the general public, including advocacy, peer support, mentoring, independent living, deaf mentoring, social services, recreation and social activities, senior citizen services, and other services as available.
Employment Services: Assistance is provided with seeking and keeping employment, including job search and applications, preparing for interviews, initial job training, job coaching, assistance with co-workers and staff meetings.
Telecommunication Equipment Distribution: Providing installation, training, and equipment including amplified telephones, captioned telephones, ring signalers, and mobile phones/tablets.
American Sign Language: Community based and contractual sign language classes, interpreter mentoring, information regarding ASL, deaf culture, and deaf history available to the public and private organizations.

The Community Health Workers (CHWs) at the Avera Community Health Resource Center help others connect to and navigate healthcare, apply for jobs at Avera, and assist in connecting with other available resources within the community. The CHWs have lived experience as immigrants and refugees, so have a unique ability to connect with and understand barriers.

Providing assistance to those who have worked on a farm or ranch within the past two years. If eligible, depending upon availability of funds, services may include: on the job training assistance, job search/placement assistance, financial support for education training and job placement, and supportive services such as, but not limited to: rental assistance and transportation costs, daycare expenses, tools, uniforms, and food.
