Dakotah Pride Treatment Center - Outpatient Services Program at Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Tribe
Dakotah Pride Treatment Center - Outpatient Services at Sisseton - Dakota Avenue
- Couteau Des Prairies Hospital will provide emergency, acute medical detoxification services for those requiring these services. A Dakotah Pride Center staff member will provide transportation for detoxification services and a staff counselor will provide motivational counseling for clients who are undergoing detoxification to seek treatment through Dakotah Pride Treatment Center.
- Screening, assessment, intervention, and treatment placement by qualified/certified CD Counselors are available by appointment.
- Walk-in Assessments for Substance Use available - see description of hours.
- Outpatient treatment services are provided for individuals who meet the admission criteria. The objectives of the program are to provide treatment for individuals who require therapeutic and supportive counseling and referral services while living independently, who may have completed inpatient treatment previously but relapsed, or for whom residential treatment is not otherwise possible. The program meets three times a week in three hour long sessions for six weeks.

A therapeutic place of residence for persons suffering from substance use disorders and mental illness. Offering dignity and serenity to continue the journey of recovery, healing, and wholeness.
Serenity Hills offers 3 distinct programs:
-Social setting detoxification
-Halfway house combines a strong AA 12-step philosophy with a multi-disciplinary team approach, including professional addiction, psychiatric and mental health care.
-Crisis intervention/Appropriate Regional Facility/Safe Rooms for individuals experiencing mental health crisis and/or having thoughts of self-harm.

Detox and Mental Health Crisis Stabilization Program at The Link
Sioux Falls Site
Medically Monitored Withdrawal Management:
- Individuals in need of medically monitored detoxification treatment for substance use disorders may participate in our 10-bed program. Individuals may be admitted voluntarily or involuntarily under an Emergency Detainment or Involuntary Drug and Alcohol Committal (IVC). During a short-term stay (approximately 3-7 days), we will provide medical stabilization to support a safe withdrawal and provide recommendations for continued care and treatment after discharge.
Sobering Observation for Intoxicated Individuals:
- Individuals under the influence of alcohol or other mood-altering substances who are in need of observation and support in order to reach a safe level of sobriety may participate in our sobering observation program. Prior to discharge, we will offer connections to community resources and provide education regarding available substance use treatment options.
Mental Health Crisis Stabilization:
- Individuals experiencing a mental health crisis, who are not actively suicidal and are not violent, and would benefit from short-term stabilization may participate in our 3-bed program;length of stay can be up to 23 hours. Prior to discharge, we will work with individuals to develop a crisis response plan and offer recommendations for ongoing community and mental health support. If an individual is determined to be in need of a higher level of care to safely manage their mental health symptoms, we will assist them with a referral to higher level of care.
Inpatient Adult Treatment Program at Keystone Treatment Center
Canton Site
An inpatient alcohol, drug, and gambling treatment programs for adults. Care provided by: 24 hour nursing staff, a full-time psychologist, 24 hour on-call doctor, Certified chemical dependency counselors, and ASAM certified Addictionologists. Based on 12-step recovery model with:
- Medically monitored detoxification
- Dual-diagnosis track with psychiatrist
- For co-occurring disorders, diagnosis must be substance use primary and mental health secondary
- Inpatient and outpatient gambling program with certified gambling counselors
- Substance abuse, inhalant abuse and Methamphetamine treatment track (IMT)
- Chronic Pain Program
- Medication Assisted Treatment
- Different medications are available. Keystone utilizes Vivitrol and Naltrexone. May utilize Subutex and other medications to taper during medically monitored detoxification. Keystone does not utilize Methadone or Suboxone for maintenance.
- Unique services available:
- Native American cultural program (sweat lodge on site, talking circles, etc.)
- Spiritually based 12-step program.
- Veterans and retired military. Need to be referred through VA;able to take VA funding.
- Active duty military and dependents may utilize TRICARE West Insurance.
