Halfway House and Detox Center at Watertown - 19th Street N.E.
A therapeutic place of residence for persons suffering from substance use disorders and mental illness. Offering dignity and serenity to continue the journey of recovery, healing, and wholeness.
Serenity Hills offers 3 distinct programs:
-Social setting detoxification
-Halfway house combines a strong AA 12-step philosophy with a multi-disciplinary team approach, including professional addiction, psychiatric and mental health care.
-Crisis intervention/Appropriate Regional Facility/Safe Rooms for individuals experiencing mental health crisis and/or having thoughts of self-harm.

- Weekly small group opportunities for men and women in the Codington County Detention Center, as well as at downtown office location

- Downtown office space allows for sober social opportunities to build healthy community

- Sober living homes;up to 4 women can live in the women's home at a time and up to 3 men can live in the men's home at a time, rent free with case management services to help individuals move toward financial stability, employment, and permanent housing

Teen Challenge of the Dakotas Program at Teen Challenge of the Dakotas
Brookings - W. 16th Street
The 16-month program consists of 5 phases of induction, training, and Re-Entry.
- The first 10 months include the 4 phases of induction and training.
- The 5th and final phase of Re-Entry is 6 months in length and consists of further discipleship and assistance in transitioning back into the real world.
Sober Living Home Program at Oxford House
Brookings Site
Established to provide a safe, supportive and structured environment where men, women and women with children can live while learning to live without drugs and alcohol.
Each house is self-supporting and ran democratically by the members of the house. Each member shares in the equal share of expenses.
Each member must abide by the Oxford House rules to continue to be a member.

Transitional Housing Program at St. Francis House
Sioux Falls Site
Serving men, women, and families (anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult) with transitional housing. The goal is for guests to leave the program debt free, maintaining recovery, and on a path to success. Participants are provided:
- 3 meals a day (sack lunch for work)
- Bus passes
- Debt management
- Basic essentials/hygiene items
- Case management
- Employment assistance
- Opportunity to save towards stable housing and paying off debts
- Assistance finding housing
- Referrals to community programs including counseling and treatment
- Self-improvement classes
The minimum length of stay is 60 days with a preference of 6 months - 1 year. Guests must be working or seeking employment and are expected to pay a portion of their income toward rent and paying off debts.
