Watertown Site
An education-based system for earning material items for your child. Offers lessons applicable to to any stage of pregnancy up until age 2. Participation in the program rewards clients with incentive points that can be redeemed for material items.
Hygiene and Household Cleaning Supplies Program at Building Our Families
Watertown Site
Provides personal hygiene items and household cleaning essentials to individuals who are in need. Quantity of items is based on household size and all items requested will be provided if in stock. Assistance may be requested once every 30 days, as needed. Pick up site for items is at the Watertown Department of Labor. Please do not stop into the Department of Labor Office to request assistance. This is only a pick up/drop off location.
Spanish-Speaking Community Group Program at Bienvenidos a Brookings

Works to bring immigrants, immigrant advocates, and non-immigrant community members together to deepen their relationships and cultural understanding. Nearly all efforts are focused on Latin immigrants.
Immigrant families in need are provided food, furniture, school supplies, household items, and diapers.
Also provides organizing community English classes and connecting ESL volunteers with new English language learners, networking with immigration service providers in Eastern South Dakota, creating a general referral service for immigrants needing assistance, arranging translation services when needed, assisting families with their efforts to change immigration status, and community outreach to educate the non-immigrant community about obstacles immigrants experience in the Brookings area.

A no-cost warm, home-cooked meal served every Monday night (except major holidays) with supervised children's area with activities;diapers and baby wipes available each week;household items (toilet paper, etc.);and personal care items (shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, etc.).

Holy Innocents Ministry offers diapers, wipes, and formula vouchers to qualified families at no charge, program may be utilized once every 60 days.
