Suicide and Crisis Support Services: How Can We Help You?
The Helpline Center’s Suicide & Crisis Support Services program offers a variety of educational and supportive services covering the spectrum from prevention to postvention. If you or someone you care about is struggling, we are here to help!
Our knowledgeable staff are able to provide suicide prevention trainings ranging from one hour to two-days in length. Whether you are someone looking to learn a bit more about the warning signs of suicide, or are in a role as a helping professional, we have a training that will work for you.
We are a crisis intervention program that can be accessed by dialing 1-800-273-8255 (National Suicide Prevention Lifeline) from anywhere in South Dakota if you or someone you care about are having thoughts of suicide or are in some type of emotional distress. With help, comes hope!
We offer a number of postvention programs, which are programs designed to support those who are bereaved by suicide. These programs include LOSS (Local Outreach to Survivors of Suicide) visits, survivor support groups, survivor education/support classes, children’s grief groups, support packets, and training to help tell the story of your loss to help yourself heal and help others who may be struggling or grieving a similar loss. We care about you and want to help support you!
