ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) is a 2-day training for individuals to prepare them to be ready, willing and able to help someone who is at-risk of suicide.  Registration is required.  Please contact Lori Montis at (605) 274-1406 or for more information. Develop and refine skills to help others when they are considering suicide. Improve your ability to be a ready, willing and able caregiver to a person at risk of suicide by:

  • Talking openly, honestly and directly about suicide.
  • Exploring invitations
  • Listening to and reasons for dying and for living
  • Reviewing risk and creating a safeplan

The registration is limited to 30 participants. Application will be made for CEUs for Social Work, Counseling, Drug & Alcohol professionals. Will apply for 1 Graduate/Undergraduate credit hour from USF for $45.
