Information for Service Providers
211 is a free resource for you, your employees, and your clients.

Why should we include our services in the 211 database?
  • Individuals in need of your services will be able to find you.
  • 211 call specialists will be able to accurately refer callers to your services.
  • Fosters networking and collaboration with other agencies.
  • Free marketing for your agency.
  • It is the right thing to do.
How can you use 211?
  • Do you ever have clients or others come to you for services you don’t provide?  For most agencies, this results in staff spending time searching for the appropriate place to refer individuals.  Now, you can just have the person call 211 or you can search the online database together at www.211sd.org.
  • As you get to know your clients, you may learn about needs that go beyond the scope of your services.  Call 211 together to learn about other community resources.
  • Creating partnerships and working together leads to a successful community.  Use the 211 database to learn about other service providers in your area.
